After taking home our first CIF Championship in 2016, we have been unstoppable. We are training harder than ever and, thanks to coaching staff, we come to each game with more fight. Last season, we made it to playoffs, but lost in first round by just three points. As we look toward next season, we are seeing another shot at a CIF title in our future.

Our coaching staff here at Norco has very high expectations are attainable. To be a student's-athletes is not a right, rather a privilege. As a student-athlete, the coaching staff will expect you to be well disciplined and willing to give of yourself for the benefit of the team. Individual records are not our focus. Teamwork, dedication, a positive attitude and conditioning are what we are expecting from our student-athletes.

Our players are not just members of a team, they are members of our community. As the cougars move on to offseason mode and prepare for their extremely bright future, it is still important to reflect on this season and celebrate the countless successes of 2024-2025.

My vision for the program, student-athlete responsibilities, staff responsibilities, and my basketball philosophy, the role of the parents, team objectives and sample offense/defense practice scenarios.
I have over 20 years of basketball coaching experience, skills, and qualifications to fill this position. For the past fourteen years I have coached in the Corona Norco Unified School District as an assistant varsity basketball and freshmen and junior varsity coach. I have coached at Corona, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Norco High Schools. In addition, I have run a nationally recognized championship AAU basketball time since 2004.
I have had the opportunity to train youth interested in learning skills that make them champions in the classroom and on the court, I am aware of the patience it takes to encourage student-athletes and the hours that it takes to create a winning program.

Assistant / Freshmen Girl's Basketball Coach
My name is Jade Pate-Steele and I've had a life long love of basketball. I began playing at the age 8 and from there i was hooked. I honed my skills playing travel basketball and went on to play for Santiago High School. I am happy to now have the opportunity to coach and pass my knowledge on to a new group of young ladies.
